"...worrying about animals without _______ (fill in the blank)..."

In extreme weather, like what we've been experiencing here the past ten days (nausea), horrid and tragic visions skirt around my head. I'm almost tormented, in the truest sense of the word, by what I know is happening "out there".

...animals--A to Z--suffer miserably because some human is not holding up their end of the deal.
The oil spill has completely freaked me out; I can't bear to watch television anymore except for "The Young and the Restless" or "The Andy Griffith Show". I'm glad I'm too poor to have cable or satellite.

I care about children and the elderly, too, as people who know me know but nature transcends human everytime, don't they? I'm in heaven here as the only human living with only flora and fauna for the most part.

So let's focus on the good (since at this moment right here I can't do nothin' 'bout 'nothin'). Let's: Daisy Mae and her buddy Fester detected "filling vulnerability" in one of their comforters here in our camper, it's batting exposed from a long torn seam. Fester started pawing at it, then tugging. I called out to him, "stop!" and they did. Such great dogs. Then I realized that it's a crappy, old poly-blend comforter so to Hades with it! As I write, Daisy Mae and Fester have so shredded that crappy thing and in the process, they're having the time of their lives. And BOY! are they making a mess! It's genuine hilarity and metaphysical perfection. They are so in the moment at the moment. I WANT TO BE ONE OF MY DOGS! Which would I be?

But for now I try to eradicate pain and suffering in animals instead of allowing myself to be tormented by ______ (fill in the blank). Keep moving even if you don't feel like you're gaining ground. You might not realize it at the time but you do make progress with every act of kindness. Life is harsh but it sure is beautiful, too.

ps~Daisy Mae and Fester have gone out to roam-tinkle and as a result Thomas J. passively ascended their spots, nestled onto the puffy white "bedding" f/k/a the comforter's fill. Poor Thomas J. He had rough formative experiences. He's really trying, though.
