I called a few natural gas companies but it seems that right now they're not interested in raping the land.
My plan is to be DEBT-FREE: no mortgages, no creditors just a monthly expectation of costs to run the Sanctuary.  Utilities, dog food, veterinary care and my salary of $1.00 a year are the only "expenses" I want to pay.  As for my personal expenses, my needs are hyper-simple.  I pretty much live in Gramicci QuickDry hiking pants in the summer and insulated bib overalls in the winter, both with tshirts. I like good, thick socks.  I wear 25% DEET spray in the summertime, otherwise I'm devoured by biting insects; perfume in the winter and only after bath and before bed. Fresh fruit and vegetables (which I prefer growing myself), good bread and tea year round.  Very little human interaction.  I want to facilitate a place of safety, a sanctuary for those without a place--which means I better come up with a great fundraiser so I can reinvent the rural animal shelter.  Crawford County, here I come!
