Pig ears are bad juju all the way around! Here's just a sampling of reasons:
--they can carry e-coli (yes, even the ones packaged prettily) and you're not only feeding them to your beloved dog but you're touching them yourself;
--they are so high in fat that you might as well give your dog a whole stick of real butter. Truly.
It's the same fat content and equally as disruptive to your dog's gut;
--speaking of the intestinal system, whether given weekly or sporadically (please don't tell me you're giving them to your dogs every day...!), pig ears are not a friend to any canine pancreas.
--finally, they're NASTY.

Take note of what my friend, Paulette, gives her dogs: Chicken Tenders by Waggin' Tail (you can get it at Target or Sam's). A "jerky" type yummy that's not only good for your dog's gums and teeth but also healthy for their heart and gut. What more can a body want?
