When I finish this little note, I'm gonna build me a campfire, put my bath water kettle on the fire and let my dryer fluff my cozies. What a day! Finally, my mood ring is not black. These are the kind of days when I'm glad I didn't kill myself...spring is the most hopeful season. Here's hoping.

...as for the Daisys and Day 2 of their post-Sx status, Daisy-Mae is feeling a bit too good and her activity level reflects that, being much higher than what's considered "recuperative". Her eyes look like gore but when I talk to and love on her, I look past them right now. I can't stomach eye to eye right now.

Daisy-Irene is another matter as she's still a bit under the weather. She wants to be held, cuddled, soothed. She's sore. Chilled. Malaise-ish. But fear not: she's sleeping on a very cozy cushion, as close to the oil filled radiant heater as she can without burning herself. Finally, right beside her, Daisy-Mae has now curled up to rest, too. Clarkie, the fiend, is on my bed; brat. And he's way bigger than Norman (7 pounds) and FDR (13 pounds). And he gloms onto me in bed.
We shift and negotiate for space, at least until we all resign and go to sleep and then after that its a free-for-all.

Earlier I had an awfully sore throat and headache. I took a dose of NyQuil early; it's rescued me at bedtime the last four nights but I made need to supplement tonight with Benadryl. I inhaled a lot of stuff today--all legal--[because] I worked outside from 2:30 to 4:30, spreading fresh cedar shavings, burning some funky dead brush and absorbing a lot of sun in the process. It was just lovely but I'm overloaded with allergens! So, to the bath!
